Alan is the Accenture US F&S Corporate Citizenship Lead and has been with Accenture for 10 years. With more than 180,000 employees, Accenture is the world’s largest consulting company. Alan’s primary focus is on Office Sustainability across the US and also includes Global ISO14001 Certification. He consults regularly with executives from a variety of fields to help create synergistic solutions to world-impacting problems. Alan believes that "going green" can be a "budget neutral" proposition that all companies should take advantage of for a healthier environment and a healthier bottom line.
Ken Strassner, Kimberly-Clark Corporation
Vice President , Global Environment, Safety, Regulatory & Scientific Affairs/
Mr. Strassner is an honors graduate (Magna cum Laude) of Yale College (1968) and of Yale Law School (1974). Prior to joining Kimberly-Clark in 1976, Mr. Strassner served as an officer in the U. S. Navy, practiced with a Washington, D.C. law firm and served as Executive Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health. Mr. Strassner’s legal specialties include U.S. and international environmental and energy law, product safety matters and occupational safety and health requirements. In 1988, Mr. Strassner was appointed Vice President-Environment and Energy, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, responsible for formulation of corporate policies and management of the Corporation's technical support staffs in both areas. His areas of responsibility were expanded in November 2004, and he now serves as Vice President- Global Environment, Safety, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs for Kimberly-Clark. In addition, Mr. Strassner is a member of various professional associations and is the current Chairman of the Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Management Roundtable.

Steven M. Bessette is the Company founder, and he has served as our President and Chief Technology Officer since May 19, 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Bessette served as our President and Chief Executive Officer from January 2002 to April 2006. Prior to founding the Company, Mr. Bessette was in private law practice. Mr. Bessette received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island and his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. Mr. Bessette is a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed as a certified public accountant in Florida and Tennessee. Mr. Bessette is involved in all aspects of the Company's strategic planning, management, development and operations, and he chairs the Company’s Scientific Advisory Panel.

Transportation: If you are taking Marta Rail Station: Take Rail Line North and Exit the train at the Midtown Station located at 10th Street and West Peachtree Street. Exit on the south side of the station which is on Peachtree Place. The Georgia Tech Trolley makes regular stops there (every 6-8 minutes) and provides free transportation to the campus. The trolley is bright Georgia Tech yellow-- you can't miss it. The first trolley stop is immediately in front of the TSRB Auditorium at 85 - 5th Street. When you exit the trolley, take the walkway alongside Moe's restaurant and Copy Plus, and proceed about 75 feet to the Centergy Building revolving door entrance straight ahead. Return transportaiton to the Midtown Station via the Trolley is free and available immediately across the street from Moe's. The MARTA fare is $1.75 each way. Special Directions based on Detour: I-75 South, Exit (Detour)-16th Street, (follow Detour signs to 14th and 10th) which includes taking a right onto 17th, after crossing over I-75, then take a Right at the first light (Nan restaurant on right hand side) onto Spring Street. Follow Spring Street until you cross over 10th Street and then 5th Street. After crossing 5th street, turn right into the Technology Square Parking Deck. Exit the parking garage on Level G, then walk north on Spring Street a half a block to the corner of 5th and Spring Street (B&N is on the corner). You will be facing the Centergy building complex. Walk left to progress to the courtyard area and the 75 Fifth Street building will be on the Right (the highrise in the center of the courtyard). Take the elevator to the 3rd Floor and follow signs to Wayne Hodges Conference Room.
Parking : There is a Parking garage adjoining Georgia Tech Learning Center at the Corner of Technology Square, also called the Technology Square Parking Deck. The parking entrance is on Spring Street, south of the intersection of Spring Street and 5th Street. Please note there is a fee to park and visitors should exit the parking deck on Level G. Walk north on Spring Street a half a block to the corner of 5th and Spring Street (B&N is on the corner). You will be facing the Centergy building complex. Walk left to progress to the courtyard area and the 75 Fifth Street building will be on the Right (the highrise in the center of the courtyard). Take the elevator to the 3rd Floor and follow signs to Wayne Hodges Conference Room.
